March 2014 – Alberta Health Services social workers Anita and Melissa receive a donation on behalf a client in Edmonton. The recipient is a young man of 32, who has been diagnosed with Huntingtons Disease and as such this young man has difficulty with communication, particularly with speech, but he is able to type on a computer to communicate. The ERA is happy to provide him with this necessary tool, and make a difference in his life.
Vancouver – ERA donated computers to the Whole Way House in the Avalon Hotel in BC. The Avalon houses approximately 85 low-income tenants today. One of the tenants, Chris, eagerly utilizes one of the laptops do research.
