The Squamish Arts Council’s (SAC) mission is to generate awareness of and improve access to arts, culture and heritage in Squamish. Through seeking funding resources, strengthening communication, and supporting local art initiatives they hope to serve the Squamish community as an advocate for the vision of a vibrant arts & culture scene in Squamish. They are a local non-profit in Squamish BC that run off of dedicated volunteer hours to bring programs to local kids, adults, seniors and support local arts and heritage through visual displays and events.
We were happy to donate three laptops to this fantastic organization. As their network grows to help more and more individuals through their programs, they struggle to keep up with the challenge of resources. Volunteers and part-time employees (when they have grants to fund positions) generally bring their own computers for use. But, this process leaves their society with missing documents and information. With a donation of 3 laptops, they will be able to store their documents so that it is always accessible for new volunteers.
