Body Brave is a national registered charity dedicated to helping people recover from disordered eating and eating disorders, by providing the best in community treatment as well as breaking down systemic barriers to recovery. Their vision is that all people affected by body image issues, disordered eating, and eating disorders are able to access high-quality information and support, experiencing a sense of self-efficacy, dignity, and connection.
Their mission is to plan and deliver innovative local and national services that address the major gaps in resources for eating disorders, in collaboration with those with lived experience and their community partners. Body Brave also works to create a bold national recovery-focused, inclusive community, committed to body liberation as well as raising awareness and reducing stigma around disordered eating and/or eating disorders.
Body Brave is a driver of innovation and they would like to keep doing this work. They have had over 900 people reach out to them in less than 2 years. Due to their social media following increasing over time they are in need of laptops to expand their impact throughout Canada.
These laptops would also be used to assist with their virtual treatment groups. ERA is working on getting these laptops to this organization. If your company can help in any way please reach out to ERA by emailing [email protected].
