Xpan Picks Calgary Seniors Resource Society to Receive their winning Laptop

On August 28th 2019, ERA sponsored BDC’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament at D’Arcy Ranch Golf Club. On the day we held a competition where every attendee who stopped by our booth could enter into a draw. The prize was “Win a Laptop to Donate to A Charity of Your choice”. We would like to thank everyone who participated in this competition. The winning company was Xpan Interactive Ltd. and the winning employee was Ron Thiele, their President and CEO.

Xpan Interactive chose to donate their laptop to the Calgary Seniors Resource Society. They have worked with this organization in the past and were happy to support them with this donation. For over 23 years, Calgary Seniors’ Resource Society (Calgary Seniors) has provided a depth of support that creates meaningful and effective change in the overall well-being and quality of life for seniors in our city. What makes them so unique is that they combine outreach, with volunteer programming, and community engagement.

This laptop will go to one of Calgary Seniors Resource Society’s seniors, named Doug. While speaking to Doug, he said his old computer that was almost 20 years was corrupted and no longer in working condition. Due to this Doug has had to go to the library for his computer needs. This donation will make it much easier for him to do his banking and check his email. He is extremely grateful to get a laptop before winter.

Thank you to Rene Thiele, Project Manager at Xpan Interactive for taking time out of her busy schedule to come down to our office for this donation. Since 2001, Xpan has been a global pioneer in developing immersive, interactive and cost-effective digital knowledge experiences. Established as a collective of empowered and passionate digital and learning professionals, Xpan acts as a collaborative partner in helping their clients, staff and communities reach their highest goals and aspirations.
