Canadian Peacemakers International Receives a Chunk of Technology

By electronic recycling association October 17, 2018

Canadian Peacemakers International is a charitable organization for creating effective, self-sustaining models for peace-building. They believe that by addressing economic inequality, lack of education, and other problems, they can reduce the reasons for conflict in Honduras. They also believe these ideas can also work elsewhere and actively share their learning with other organizations.

Vision

CPI envisions flourishing communities where integrated community development practices lead members to live in harmonious relationships with each other and their environment, enjoying the security of land ownership, sustainable local economies, good health and peaceful security.

Mission

CPI collaborates with marginalized communities in Central America, contributing resources, knowledge and support to their pursuit of positive change through programs of education, agriculture and food security, land ownership and leadership development.

We were delighted to donate 10 laptops, 10 computers and 5 monitors to this phenomenal organization. While speaking with a member of Canadian Peacemakers International, they stated, “We are taking an 11 person Learning Tour to Honduras, departing Edmonton October 16th 2018. The equipment that we receive will carry out Computer Assisted Learning (CAL) to educated children in poor rural areas of Honduras”.
