Cornerstone Youth Centre Receives Laptops From Shell Canada

By electronic recycling association June 20, 2022

“We would like to thank the ERA & Shell Canada for their support”- Bob McInnis, CORNERSTONE YOUTH CENTRE

Shell Canada is a long-standing client of The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) and a huge contributor to our donations program. Without organizations like these who make a concerted effort to be involved in their community, ERA would not be able to help as many organizations every year as we do. We were proud to partner on the donation of 8 laptops to the Cornerstone Youth Centre Calgary, AB.  This donation will be used to help junior high youth in the Calgary area gain access to the internet and to be able to do homework in a more efficient fun way.

Shell Canada is an integrated energy company that aims to meet the world’s growing demand for energy in ways that are economically, environmentally and socially responsible. As a global energy company operating in a challenging world, they set high standards of performance and ethical behaviours. They are judged by how they act – their reputation is upheld by how they live up to our core values of honesty, integrity and respect for people.

Cornerstone Youth Centre first opened its doors in 1994, and is a grassroots, non-profit, non-denominational charitable organization, designed to teach life skills and develop therapeutic relationships to best inspire and prepare youth for a successful life outside of our centre. Everything they do is intended to “fill the tool-belts” of youth, so they may have the resources to handle life’s tricky situations before they are forced to deal with them. Prevention is their game.

With a focus on recovery, refurbishment and reuse, ERA continuously supplies charitable groups with donated IT equipment while securely managing the retiring IT assets of organizations and individuals across Canada.
