DIVERSEcity Receives the Gift of Technology

By electronic recycling association November 5, 2019

DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society, a registered charity with a 40+ year history, empowers newcomers and diverse communities to build the life they want through services in language, settlement, employment, counselling & interpretation & translation. Their mission is to inspire belonging in a strong integrated community by empowering newcomers and diverse communities to Canada.

We were thrilled to donate ten monitors to the DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society. These devices will be used for their program Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC). The Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program offers English language classes free-of-charge to new immigrants. Classes range from Pre-literacy to CLB 6. As part of English language training, clients learn skills for adapting to Canadian society and success in the workplace. They also gain an awareness of the community and the resources to deal with settlement issues, as well as knowledge of life in Canada.

These monitors will be located in the classroom for this specific program and used every day by their clients. We wish them the best of luck. If you would like to donate to ERA and help other organizations like this, please visit our website here.
