The Electronic Recycling Association is excited to announce the donation of 10 laptops to the South Island Centre For Counselling & Training today. They provide professional, affordable mental health counselling services to all individuals, children, youth and families in support of personal, relational and spiritual wholeness. We wish them the best of luck and were happy to assist them! You can visit their website here for more information.

“On behalf of everyone at South Island Centre for Counselling and Training, please accept our sincere gratitude and thanks for your Donation of 10 laptops. As you know, our organization exists to serve our community and build a better life for all of our clients by offering affordable counselling. Your donation will be instrumental in helping us reach clients in need. For every client at the Centre who receives our help, we estimate at least 6 to 10 other people are affected positively, and with your donation, we can continue to have a strong impact in our community”

“The ERA’s mission is founded on bringing empowerment, stability, and prosperity to members of our communities across the country. It is truly heart-warming for us to fulfill this request during such a critical and difficult time in the field of counselling. We look forward to the tremendous positive benefit these laptops will provide for the South Island Centre. It has been an honor to work with Minister Popham on this project and make a difference in countless lives,” said ERA Operations Director, Andy Wesolowski.

Viewing regular access to a personal computer as a non-essential luxury is a thing of the past. Even basic activities now require the use of a computer; applying for a job, completing school work, staying in touch with family or even something as simple as looking up a bus route is difficult without a computer. The Electronic Recycling Association has developed a charitable computer donation program to address exactly that problem.

We work with charities across the country to provide refurbished electronics for their programs. This gives them access to reliable technology while allowing them to apply their resources to what they’re good at: developing programs to help Canadians struggling with poverty, health concerns or are otherwise experiencing misfortune. Because the Electronic Recycling Association is an advocate of equality, we are not specifically affiliated with a given charity. The ERA helps hundreds of charitable organizations each year through the donation of necessary computer equipment. Organizations qualified for donations through ERA’s donation program include: registered charities, non-profit organizations, care facilities (seniors homes, hospitals, daycares, etc.) and educational institutions.
