ERA Donates 15 Laptops to the Vision of Hope Resource Centre

The Electronic Recycling Association is proud to announce the donation of 15 laptops to the Vision of Hope Resource Centre. During the pandemic outbreak the need for support has increased in the community. Many seniors, single parents with young children and individuals are in quarantine and cannot leave their homes. VOHRC has seen the devastating impact of COVID- 19 on the family and the community. This donation will be given to people who isolated and need to connect with their families and friend inside and outside of Canada.

“Vision of Hope Resource Centre and families of the Brampton community would like to thank Electronic Recycling Association Marketing & donations managers for their donation of Laptops to children and seniors. The generous donation of Laptops makes it possible for children to access online learning and for seniors to stay connected with their community by accessing programs and services.  We appreciate your love and support,” said Cynthia Pommells.

Vision of Hope Resource Center has a strong commitment to create a healthy and empowered community where children, youth, seniors and families thrive, through programs and services that promote their well-being and reduce other risk factors. The organization is mandated to provide structured programs focused on addressing and preventing problems faced by at-risk youth. To address and prevent specific problems faced by families dealing with behavioral management issues, by providing counseling and mentorship.

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 to address the growing problem of e-waste and the increasing ‘digital divide’. For over fifteen years, ERA has offered simple solutions to help individuals and organizations prevent operational equipment from premature destruction. With a focus on recovery, refurbishment and reuse, ERA continuously supplies charitable groups with donated IT equipment while securely managing the retiring IT assets of organizations and individuals across Canada. We believe that reuse before recycling is critical in managing the waste created by computer hardware, and by offering industry-leading data destruction for all equipment we receive, we have securely repurposed hundreds of tons of equipment. Because not everything ERA receives can be reasonably repurposed, we have partnered with certified recycling organizations to process equipment that has reached the end of its productive life.
