By electronic recycling association July 15, 2021

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to announce the donation of 1 tablet to the Vancouver Branch of Mamas for Mamas. It will be given to a single mom in need of a tablet for her child that is currently being homeschooled.

It’s hard enough being a parent without the stress of clothing or food insecurity, lack of appropriate mental health care, and everything else that can easily fall through the cracks in our busy society. Mamas for Mamas is there for those parents who need help navigating eligible resources, applying for social supports, and getting direct intake support while joining this Mamas community that genuinely looks after each other.

Both the ERA and Mamas for Mamas share similar missions based on providing support and relief to our communities across the country. As more Canadians are faced with increased difficulties and adversity, the ERA strives to continually make a greater impact. The journey of Mamas for Mamas Vancouver began early in 2018 after the CEO and Founder, Shannon Christensen, flew out to Vancouver to meet with an interested volunteer to discuss the expansion and vision of the organization. Soon after that, their online presence grew and now two years later, they have 12 active Facebook Chapters throughout the lower mainland and an Instagram page.

Mamas for Mamas is a national charitable organization that supports mothers and caregivers in crisis by providing ongoing support to individuals and families facing various poverty-related struggles. Their mission is to change the landscape of poverty through innovative approaches to financial barriers faced by struggling families. Visit their website here for more information.

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 to address the growing problem of e-waste and the increasing ‘digital divide’. For over fifteen years, ERA has offered simple solutions to help individuals and organizations prevent operational equipment from premature destruction. With a focus on recovery, refurbishment and reuse, ERA continuously supplies charitable groups with donated IT equipment while securely managing the retiring IT assets of organizations and individuals across Canada.
