ERA Partners with MLA Chris Nielsen to Donate Computers to Edmonton Non-profit

The Electronic Recycling Association donates 12 computers to Sihle-Sizwe Vineyard Foundation in Edmonton with the help of MLA Chris Nielsen.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

EDMONTON, AB (SEPTEMBER 4, 2020) – The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is excited to announce our most recent donation event, this time partnering with MLA Chris Nielsen. We will be donating 10 desktop computers and 2 laptops to the Sihle-Sizwe Vineyard Foundation which will be used for their library and computer classes.

Owner and founder of ERA, Bojan Paduh states, “The ERA helps hundreds of charitable organizations each year through the donation of necessary computer equipment and having local politicians involved in our donation activity highlights our mission to the public. We are pleased to have MLA Nielsen join us in supporting the Edmonton community!”

Sihle-Sizwe Vineyard Foundation reduces barriers and provides solutions to assist youth, adults, and seniors from all communities and groups with challenges they face, especially post-migration and immigration for Multicultural communities, through skills enhancement, social support, mentorship, etc. as well as raising cultural awareness through art performances, education, and training programs.

“Sihle-Sizwe is thankful beyond words for the gift of computers received from ERA. This gift will go a long way towards changing the lives of young people in Bulawayo Zimbabwe. We are extremely grateful and excited to be considered for this gift,” said president Patricia Gumbo.

About MLA Chris Nielsen

Chris Nielsen is proud to serve as MLA for Edmonton-Decore, a diverse community home to large corporations, small businesses, and everyday Alberta families. Having worked as a shipper/receiver for 26 years, Chris feels a connection to hardworking Albertans in every field. He has committed his efforts as an MLA to protecting the public services that they rely on. Chris is also a dedicated advocate for workers’ rights. Throughout his career, he represented his colleagues as shop steward for 15 years and filled many committee positions within Local 401 of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union. His union activism motivated him to get involved in politics. Chris cares about giving back to his community and has volunteered with the Children’s Heart Society in a variety of capacities, including secretary and director.
