With the increased online requirements during the covid-19 pandemic, Sunrise Healing Lodge was struggling to meet the technological needs of its staff and clients. So they reached out to the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) for assistance and we were happy to help with 4 desktop computers! This donation will be used by their in-house support team to help their clients continue to engage in recovery programs online.
Sunrise Healing Lodge is an Indigenous agency that is open to people from all walks of life that are seeking a solution to the problem of addiction. They offer a solution to those suffering in the grips of a chronic, progressive and fatal illness by teaching them how to recreate their lives.
In Calgary, Sunrise is the only addictions treatment centre where Indigenous culture and spirituality are used harmoniously with the 12 Steps pioneered by Alcoholics Anonymous for the treatment of addiction.
They offer a variety of services for clients which includes:
- Inpatient Treatment
- Family Counselling Program
- Outpatient Treatment
It is the mission of Sunrise Healing Lodge to:
- Heal the damage done by mending family relationships through counselling and by increasing the parenting skills of caregivers.
- Educate families about the effects and consequences of alcohol and other drug use through workshops and educational outreach.
- Provide aboriginal-based healthy and fun activates that empower families to make positive choices for their future.

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is a non-profit organization that has been reducing unnecessary electronic waste since 2004. We reduce adverse environmental contribution through electronic recycling, repurposing, and through the donation of electronics and other IT Equipment.
