ERA Teams up with U of C Students to help Promote their Electronics Drive

By electronic recycling association May 26, 2020

While many of us are still able to work and connect through our phones and laptops, many patients and at-risk individuals most isolated in the YYC community don’t have access to devices and aren’t able to reach out. A group of students in Calgary started an Electronics Drive to help – it starts Saturday, May 16th and has been extended to Friday, May 29th. They already have over 200+ backlogged requests for devices, from care homes & isolation hotels for the homeless.

Let’s show how fantastic our community is and rally together all the devices (Smartphones, Tablets, Laptops) that are collecting dust, and get YYC connected. Devices collected will be donated to hospital patients, retirement homes and homeless shelters to help those most isolated by COVID-19 reach out to their family and loved ones.

ERA is happy to help spread the word about these students who are taking the initiative to help those in need!
