Non-profit Organization Donates to Seattle Youth Organization to Kick off their presence in the United States

Councilmember Ms Lisa Herbold teams up with the Electronic Reusing Association to donate the gift of technology to the youth of Seattle

Seattle, WA (March 12th 2019) – The Electronic Reusing Association (ERA) is excited to announce their first ever donation within the United States. ERA will be donating 20 laptops to the Southwest Youth and Family Services (SWYFS) in the Seattle area on March 22nd2019. SWYFS is a leading resource for low-income families and youth in Southwest King County. Their mission is to partner with youth and families to transform their futures.

In light of this being ERA’s first donation to a Seattle Organization they have invited Councilmember, Ms. Lisa Herbold to attend and be involved in the donation exchange. “We are ecstatic to be hosting our first donation in Seattle with the help of a respected member of the community. This organization puts youth first, something that the ERA is extremely passionate about. We as individuals need to inspire and encourage our youth as they are the future of tomorrow.” Said Bojan Paduh, Founder and President of the Electronic Reusing Association. “We wish the Southwest Youth and Family Services all the best in their mission and for the future”.

Speaking with Steve Daschle, Executive Director at Southwest Youth and Family Services he states, “Southwest Youth and Family Services is grateful to the Electronics Reusing Association for their generous donation of laptops to our programs. Our participants come from low income families and often don’t have access to the technology needed to be successful in school and in life.”

“I applaud ERA for keeping community needs in mind while also reducing electronic waste so less of it ends up in our landfills. Increasing access to technology is one way that Southwest Youth and Family Services works to transform the lives of Seattle and King County families,” said Councilmember Herbold. “With this generous donation, low-income Seattle families can use these laptops to access information, complete their homework, apply for internship and job opportunities and more in this increasingly digital-first world.”

ERA offers industry leading data erasure services, prompt and professional corporate pickup services and detailed reporting. With reuse being ERA’s top priority, every item that is received is examined for any remaining productive life and, if possible, refurbished for reuse.
