Five laptops Donated to Amadeusz

Amadeusz is a not-for-profit organization in Ontario that has been operating since 2009. They support young people who are incarcerated to create positive change in their lives through access to education, community supports, mentorship, and exceptional care.

The ERA was happy to donate 5 laptops to Amadeusz to better serve their participants and keep in contact with their partners. ERA is proud to support an organization that fosters opportunity among young people who are impacted by incarceration, violence, and crime to create positive change in their lives and communities.

Amadeusz facilitates an education program for youth aged 18-35 who are incarcerated at the Toronto South Detention Centre, the Toronto East Detention Centre, and the Vanier Centre for Women. The goal of this program is to provide young people who are in detention with the opportunity, resources and support to complete their high school education and to explore, prepare for and attend post-secondary schooling.

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 to address the growing problem of e-waste and the increasing ‘digital divide’. For over fifteen years, ERA has offered simple solutions to help individuals and organizations prevent operational equipment from premature destruction. With a focus on recovery, refurbishment and reuse, ERA continuously supplies charitable groups with donated IT equipment while securely managing the retiring IT assets of organizations and individuals across Canada. We believe that reuse before recycling is critical in managing the waste created by computer hardware, and by offering industry leading data destruction for all equipment we receive, we have securely repurposed hundreds of tons of equipment. Because not everything ERA receives can be reasonably repurposed, we have partnered with certified recycling organizations to process equipment that has reached the end of its productive life.

Get involved with the Electronic Recycling Association and help work towards a future without e-waste. Invite the ERA to your community cleanup, host an e-waste fundraiser, spend some time volunteering at the ERA, or initiate an e-waste collection at your business.

Consider dropping off your pre-loved electronics to ERA and we will work to donate them to those who need them most!
