Further Education Society of Alberta Receives 5 Computers

For over 20 years, the Further Education Society of Alberta (FESA) has worked to build community capacity and address gaps in Literacy and Essential Skills (LES) development throughout Canada. Providing free adult foundational learning and family literacy programs and training, they support community-based literacy initiatives in over 750 communities across Canada. T work builds strong individuals, strong families, and strong communities through literacy and learning.

FESA is a small registered charity with a big mission. Often, they do not have the financial resources to invest in technology or activities that build internal capacity, as most of their funding goes directly to program costs and to serving their learners. Until now, they were operating with old, out-of-date desktop computers, and have recently had one die on them, leaving a staff member without a PC to work from. Their request was for computers to replace some of the current machines they are currently operating with.

A representative from FESA says, “Thank you ERA for your commitment to charities across the city and to our community”.
