The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) donated a desktop computer, laptop and projector to the Kingston Pregnancy Care Centre to replace broken computers so that they can offer online classes, programs, and appointments to clients who are not able to come in due to COVID.

Kingston Pregnancy Care Centre is a local non-profit organization that has been operating since 1989. They provide compassionate support and education for individuals and families impacted by an unexpected pregnancy and its effects. All of their programs and services are free, confidential, and are offered in a safe and non-judgmental environment regardless of age, gender, race, or religion.

They have offices in Kingston and Napanee, Ontario. You can drop into one of their offices (find hours & locations here) or arrange an appointment via email.

Kingston Pregnancy Care Centre is a faith-based organization and provides support to anyone facing an unexpected pregnancy or pregnancy-related difficulty. They are committed to the unconditional acceptance of everyone they serve, regardless of their choices. Their support is peer-based and not intended to substitute for professional counselling and they are not a medical clinic.

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 to address the growing problem of e-waste and the increasing ‘digital divide’. For over fifteen years, ERA has offered simple solutions to help individuals and organizations prevent operational equipment from premature destruction. With a focus on recovery, refurbishment, and reuse, ERA continuously supplies charitable groups with donated IT equipment while securely managing the retiring IT assets of organizations and individuals across Canada.

At the ERA, we believe in giving back to our community. We’re thankful for everything that has been shared with us through the years, and we want to spread the joy to others. Our way of doing this is through an efficient electronic recycling program. When you allow us to discard your unwanted electronics, we will salvage and donate as many items as possible. Imagine your old iPods, cellphones, and video games in the hands of someone in need. It can happen when you donate through the ERA.

We’re active all over Canada recycling electronics to be reused by charities and those in need. Find out more about how we support your city by providing electronics in your area by clicking here.
