By electronic recycling association November 2, 2020

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Montreal, QC (November 2nd, 2020) – The Electronic Recycling Association is proud to announce their collaboration with La Puce as part of a fundraising campaign to collect electronic devices for their training to people in situations of social and economic vulnerability.

La puce mission is to promote the social appropriation of information and communication technologies by associations, communities, cooperatives and trade union communities as well as the digital inclusion of people potentially excluded from the information society. Digital inclusion, citizen participation, the democratization of IT, the continuing education and development of all citizens are the vision of this NPO, which since 1984 has been helping to build a fairer and more egalitarian society.

The collected items will be refurbished by the Electronic Recycling Association and donated to La Puce.  In the current context, where the majority of their training is given remotely, the organization wants to give more participants the chance to have the appropriate equipment in order to enable them to participate actively in social life.

ERA founder and president Bojan Paduh said: “We recognize that this has been a difficult year for many people and our mission is to help as many people as possible with computers and other electronic devices. This collection event will help La Puce to continue their training activities and also to be able to offer them to people who could not afford it.”

The ERA knows how difficult it is for more vulnerable people to access electronic devices. It’s fantastic to know that La Puce offers them this opportunity and above all to have access to workshops and training that will benefit them.
