McMan Calgary Receives Technology

By electronic recycling association June 27, 2019

Over the years we have donated electronic devices to McMan and their clients throughout Canada. Today, we donated 6 laptops and 1 computer to this amazing organization.

McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association of Calgary & Area is a responsive and innovative organization making a difference in the lives of over 2,500 vulnerable children, youth and families annually. They support children, youth and families with complex needs that can include mental health issues, addiction, homelessness, poverty, and disability by providing them with the services and supports they need to thrive. As a fundamental practice across all McMan’s services, they work with individuals to help them maintain and grow relationships that can extend beyond their professional support- life-long connections that can help people sustain, and build on, their strengths and new skills.

The laptops that McMan received will go towards their Homeless Youth Program. This program provides housing options and support services to youth 15 – 24 years old who are homeless, or at risk of, homelessness. Housing options include independent living, shared accommodations, supportive roommates and community-based housing. The other computer will be sent to a family for their daughter to use for her schooling.
