Society for Treatment of Autism (STA) is an Alberta-based registered charitable organization providing comprehensive treatment, educational and consulting services for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. STA offers its services throughout Alberta and, other parts of the country, when requested.

The Society for Treatment of Autism received a donation of 10 desktops and 1 projector. This donation will be used by their clients and staff. Due to oil and gas prices, government funding has been frozen for several years and donations have decreased rapidly. These donations will replace outdated and broken devices that have become useless.

Speaking with the Society for Treatment of Autism’s, Executive Director & Registered Psychologist, Kimberley Ward, Ph.D. States, “Society for Treatment of Autism is honoured to be receiving this donation from the Electronic Recycling Association. The computers will increase the efficiency of staff and allow them to dedicate more time to the children, youth, adults, and families we serve.  STA is committed to providing quality programs. This donation will certainly help us achieve our goal of enhancing lives across the autism spectrum.”

We were pleased to partner with Alberta’s Minister of Health Tyler Shandro. “This donation is a perfect example of the community spirit that makes Calgary a great city to live in for everyone,” said Tyler Shandro, Minister of Health and MLA for Calgary-Acadia. “Donors enhance the services provided across our publicly funded health system, and this will be a big boost for the services of the Society for Treatment of Autism to clients and families. It’s a practical way for one great Calgary agency to support another, and I’m honoured to recognize them and support them.”
