Montreal Recreation Centre Receives 6 Computers

By electronic recycling association June 18, 2020

A community recreation centre in Montreal needed to update its IT equipment so they applied for a donation from the Electronic Recycling Association. We were happy to provide 3 desktop computers and 3 laptops to La Relance des loisirs tout 9 inc.

Many organizations find it extremely hard to save a portion of their already rigid budget to buy the technical equipment they may need to create more awareness online. In the eyes of other organizations, it is not a necessity and therefore isn’t first on the priority list when deciding on where to spend the money they have been allocated.  Therefore, ERA donating devices to organizations in need is a big weight off their shoulders and they can use their technology funding for other projects they are working on throughout the year.

La Relance des loisirs tout 9 inc. is a community organization working on the Plateau Mont-Royal in Montreal. Since 1987, RDLT9 inc. is actively involved in the neighborhood life. Their activities are offered to citizens aged 4 to 101, and take various avenues: sporting, cultural, community. They are the managers of the Center de loisirs St-Denis (Laurier sector) building belonging to the City of Montreal and Lambert-Closse (Mile-End sector), building belonging to the Montreal School Board.

They recommend a family friendly approach to their interventions and activities. Each year, more than 2,000 people regularly attend their activities and special events.

During the summer period, they offer children from 4 to 13 years old a Holiday Club, at a more than affordable price! Their winter, spring and fall sessions include activities that meet the needs of citizens with whom they regularly consult and discuss these needs. Their organization is well established in its environment and provides a living environment where all members feel at home.

The strength of RDLT9 inc. resides in its solid, professional, and dedicated team where everyone believes in the organization’s mission.

Being an active member of the Fédération québécoise des Centers Communautaires de Loisirs (FQCCL), this strength is doubled by the exchanges that this affiliation allows with the 83 Quebec centers members of the “Fédé”! You can visit their website here.
