On November 18th, 2019, we partnered with MPP Tom Rakocevic for a donation event in Ontario. Together, we were able to donate 12 laptops to the My Community Homework Club. This after school program will use this donation to assist with their passion to help children progress for the future.
This after school program is run by Ms. Laccona at Northwood Community Centre serving students at a number of schools in the Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue area. For her work, she was awarded a Metro-land Media Toronto Urban Hero award in the Education (People’s Choice) category.
Tom Rakocevic is the NDP critic for Government Services & Consumer Protection and Auto insurance and is a lifelong resident of the riding he represents. Tom has been a passionate advocate and volunteer for many years to achieve safer neighbourhoods, affordable and better education, a cleaner environment and the rights of tenants and workers.
