Pembina and ERA Team up to Donate 10 Laptops to the SAIT Chinook Lodge.

By electronic recycling association October 20, 2021

Pembina is a long-standing client of The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) and a huge contributor to our donations program. Without organizations like these who make a concerted effort to be involved in their community, ERA would not be able to help as many organizations every year as we do. We were proud to partner on the donation of 10 laptops to the SAIT Chinook Lodge in Calgary.

“We received 10 laptops donation today and we are so grateful, these laptops will make such a huge impact on the students that will be able to use them for on line learning. People that wouldn’t have been able to access laptops if this opportunity wasn’t provided to us.” Tapaarjuk (Tap) Moore- Indigenous Student Advisor (SAIT)- Chinook Lodge Learner Academic Services

About the Electronic Recycling Association

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 to address the growing problem of e-waste and the increasing ‘digital divide’. For over fifteen years, ERA has offered simple solutions to help individuals and organizations prevent operational equipment from premature destruction. With a focus on recovery, refurbishment and reuse, ERA continuously supplies charitable groups with donated IT equipment while securely managing the retiring IT assets of organizations and individuals across Canada.

We believe that reuse before recycling is critical in managing the waste created by computer hardware, and by offering industry-leading data destruction for all equipment we receive, we have securely repurposed hundreds of tons of equipment. Because not everything ERA receives can be reasonably repurposed, we have partnered with certified recycling organizations to process equipment that has reached the end of its productive life.

With depots located across Canada, you can easily drop off your unwanted electronics to be refurbished and donated back into the community. Call us at 1877-9EWASTE to see if you are eligible for a free pickup.
