Society for Treatment of Autism (STA) is an Alberta-based registered charitable organization providing comprehensive treatment, educational and consulting services for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. STA offers its services throughout Alberta and, other parts of the country, when requested.
ERA was pleased to donate 6 desktops and 3 laptops to help STA us achieve their goal of enhancing lives across the autism spectrum. This donation will be used by their clients and staff. Due to oil and gas prices, government funding has been frozen for several years and donations have decreased rapidly. These donations will replace outdated and broken devices that have become useless.
Society for Treatment of Autism is a provincial resource and registered charity providing individualized treatment that is both developmentally appropriate, and empirically based. Services are specialized to meet the needs of persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families. Programming is designed, implemented, and supported by a multidisciplinary team. They offer a diverse range of treatment programs across a range of environments (e.g., home, community, and/or treatment centre) that are designed to enhance participation in all aspects of life. Their goal is to support those they serve to achieve their maximum potential.
Speaking with the Society for Treatment of Autism’s, Executive Director & Registered Psychologist, Kimberley Ward, Ph.D. States, “Society for Treatment of Autism is honoured to be receiving this donation from the Electronic Recycling Association.
