Sport Calgary Receives a Printer and 3 Laptops

By electronic recycling association August 8, 2019

Sport Calgary is a volunteer based Non-profit Society dedicated to helping sport grow in Calgary. They increase the profile of sport, act as a resource for sport organizations, and help them with funding, governance and public profile.

Their mission is to assist, support and influence the growth of sport. As the voice of amateur sport in Calgary, they connect Calgarians and Sport. They are involved in all sports, helping individuals, teams and organizations learn, improve and grow.

ERA is pleased to donate these devices to a phenomenal volunteer based organization that creates a sense of community through sport activities. With the help of our donor, Ruttan Bates we were able to complete this organization’s full request with our client’s donated printer and 3 toner cartridges. Thank you Ruttan Bates for your continued support.

These laptops will be used to hire 3 STEP students this summer. Their current computers were over 10 years old, and could not run operating systems that were compatible with the latest basic office suite and graphic design work that the interns will need for day to day tasks. Like many organizations, they didn’t have the budget to buy new hardware and software to equip their summer students work stations. We were thrilled to be able to make their request a reality.
