Surrey Christmas Bureau Receives the Gift of Technology

We were delighted to donate 6 computers and 4 laptops to the Surrey Christmas Bureau in British Columbia this week. MLA Garry Begg took some time out of his busy schedule to join us for the joyous event which took place at the Surrey Christmas Bureau office. This organization is no stranger to receiving donations to help low-income families celebrate Christmas the right way. It was time for them to receive a gift for all their hard work over the years and ERA is delighted to help.

Speaking with Lisa Werring, Executive Director at Surrey Christmas Bureau she said, “The Surrey Christmas Bureau is delighted to receive ten computers from the Electronic Recycling Association.  For over 40 years, the Christmas Bureau has been helping thousands of vulnerable Surrey families enjoy a joyful holiday season with toys and Christmas hampers. As a small charity, we struggle each year to raise sufficient funds to meet the increasing needs of our community, we simply do not have the resources to replace aging equipment.  These computers will be instrumental in helping our volunteers and staff help even more families in an efficient and expedient manner. Thank you so much!”

MLA Garry Begg added, “This is an outstanding contribution from the Electronic Recycling Association. These ten computers are practical and welcome gifts during the festive season and I know the Surrey Christmas Bureau welcomes this generous donation, and they will be well used.”

The Surrey Christmas Bureau (SCB) is a volunteer-run non-profit, charitable organization. They help low-income families with toys, stocking stuffers and grocery cards which make a world of difference in letting them create a memorable holiday for their children.
