The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) was pleased to donate 10 laptops and 1 projector to the Dunblaine School in Toronto. Students attending Dunblaine require laptops to support their learning, but they have a major shortage so we were happy to help!

“We appreciate all the help we can get. Thank you so much for your consideration,” said Karen Stern, Dunblaine School.

The Dunblaine School is the foremost non-profit elementary school that meets the unique needs and abilities of students who have been diagnosed as learning disabled.  Their nurturing environment promotes not only academic but emotional intelligence in every student. Operating as a private school that offers small class sizes and highly-trained special education teachers, Dunblaine provides individualized learning that produces successful and happy students who are lifelong learners. The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 to address the growing problem of e-waste and the increasing ‘digital divide’. For over fifteen years, ERA has offered simple solutions to help individuals and organizations prevent operational equipment from premature destruction. With a focus on recovery, refurbishment and reuse, ERA continuously supplies charitable groups with donated IT equipment while securely managing the retiring IT assets of organizations and individuals across Canada.

We believe that reuse before recycling is critical in managing the waste created by computer hardware, and by offering industry-leading data destruction for all equipment we receive, we have securely repurposed hundreds of tons of equipment. Because not everything ERA receives can be reasonably repurposed, we have partnered with certified recycling organizations to process equipment that has reached the end of its productive life.

Do you have an old laptop that you don’t use anymore? A Samsung phone that doesn’t work? A stack of old electronic devices that are of no use? If so, the Electronic Recycling Association can help you, local communities, and the environment all at one time. Our goal is to collect unwanted or malfunctioning electronic devices from people and businesses in Canada, refurbish them, and donate them to charities and programs. Your donation can make all the difference, so start electronic recycling with us today!
